Resilience Training FAQs

What is the focus of the Paideia Coaching training course?

The training focuses on developing resilience, with attention on two key areas:

  • Self – developing and strengthening personal resilience
  • Others – proactively supporting the resilience of colleagues and team members
  • The course is practical and skills-based, helping learners apply what they learn directly in the workplace.

What do you mean by resilience?

Resilience is the ability to cope with pressure, adapt to change, and recover from challenges in a healthy and sustainable way. On this course, resilience is treated as a practical capability that can be developed through awareness, tools, and everyday behaviours.

How does the course help learners develop their own resilience?

Learners are supported to:

  • Understand what strengthens and drains their resilience
  • Recognise early signs of stress or overload
  • Use practical tools to manage pressure and emotional load
  • Develop strategies to recover, reset, and maintain balance
  • Build confidence in applying these tools consistently at work
  • The emphasis is on realistic, practical actions, not theory.

How does the course help learners support others?

The course equips learners with practical approaches to:

  • Notice early signs that colleagues may be struggling
  • Have supportive and proactive conversations
  • Respond appropriately without trying to “fix” others
  • Encourage help-seeking and peer support
  • Contribute to healthier, more supportive team environments
  • This helps teams address issues early, before they escalate.

Who is the course suitable for?

The course is suitable for:

  • Frontline staff
  • Managers and supervisors
  • Team leaders
  • Pastoral, wellbeing, or support roles
  • It is appropriate for anyone who wants to strengthen their own resilience and support others, whether or not they have formal management responsibility.

Do learners need prior experience or qualifications?

No. No previous coaching, wellbeing, or resilience training is required. The course is designed to be inclusive and accessible for learners at all levels.

How is the training delivered?

  • All Paideia Coaching resilience training is delivered face-to-face.
  • Face-to-face delivery allows for:
  • A safe and supportive learning environment
  • Trust-based discussion of sensitive topics
  • Interactive learning and reflection
  • Effective practice of resilience tools and approaches

Where does the training take place?

Training is delivered face-to-face:

  • At your organisation’s premises
  • At an external venue
  • At a location agreed with Paideia Coaching
  • Venue requirements are discussed during the booking process.

How long is the course?

The course lasts 4 hours and is delivered face-to-face only.

This format allows sufficient time for meaningful discussion, reflection, and practical application.

How many people can attend the course?

Each course has:

  • A minimum of 12 participants
  • A maximum of 15 participants
  • This group size supports meaningful discussion, participation, and practical learning.

Do I get a certificate after successful completion?

Yes. Learners receive a CIRO-endorsed certificate after completion of the course, which can be used as formal evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and to support Personal Development Plans (PDPs).

Can the course be tailored for our organisation?

Yes. Courses can be tailored to your organisation, taking account of:

  • Operational pressures
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Team dynamics
  • Organisational priorities
  • This ensures the training feels relevant and immediately applicable.

Do you offer open courses?

Paideia Coaching currently delivers courses for organisations and groups.

Open courses are planned, allowing individuals from different organisations to attend without booking a full group course.
